September Birthday

Nellie just turned 5, and when we asked her how she feels now that she is 5 she says"I feel good"or "I feel great" I thought that is so cute.
some of the things she wanted for her birthday were bird seeds so she can fill the bird feeders and watch the birds out the dinning area window, a milk goat because she want to milk her and drink the milk, frozen yogurt, and eat at Bashas ( a grocery store about 5 MN. from our house).
so she got pretty much everything she wanted.
Here she is with her goat Penny we just got her a couple of days before Nellie's birthday, Penny is in milk already so we get to milk her and drink it every day YUMMMMMM.
Penny is real sweet goat she was raised in a family that have 6 little children so she is extra tame, loves children, it is a blessing from God to find her.

Some Of The Happenings At Our Little Farm

This morning I worked out side pulled a bunch of weeds and transplanted many many Basil plants around so in a few days we will have Basil plants growing on both sides of the front door and we get to enjoy the aroma as we walk in and out of the house, it did get hot around 9am so I just went and jumped in the pool to cool off.

Oh my.......Nellie is still having fever..... it started yesterday when she was saying that her head and ear is hurting.....and she just wanted to sit in my lap, so she did, I took her with me in the pool just to wet her body so she can cool off little bit, she liked that, she is eating and drinking so I think she is going to be OK.

Our chickens are laying again thank you GOD..... I love making those fresh eggs for Nellie in the morning, I guess the heat affected them for a while,I guess it is normal from what I have been reading about chickens.

Iris and the horse Pumpkin are doing great, she rides almost every day sometimes by herself and sometimes with her teacher or friends, she is getting interested in growing herbs, she likes using them in cooking so David made 2 raised planters for her to plant her herbs and experiment.

Well we did have a norther snake this one is very pretty one we liked her so much we brought her in and made Little habitat and we sit down watch her every day, we think it is either a baby king snake or a desert sand snake, she does like to Barry herself in the sand that we put for her and at night she comes out and is very active.

I never thought we will ever keep a snake inside.......but we are finding a lot of exiting stuff about snakes (we just learned he is a male snake)

I am getting ready to learn about fall planting, and trying to find out what to start with.
God is always good............
